“ The restaurant is unique because it's in an old gas station. From the outside, it's a little hard to even tell it's a restaurant, but it's redone nicely inside. We visited on a Sunday right around peak brunch time and service was pretty slow as expected. We had to wait a while for a table and our food. But the food was delicious! All 5 at our table were pleased. We got the chicken fried steak, burgers and kids meals pancakes & chicken tenders. We would try again. ”

But...the food is what really shines. Whoever is back in the kitchen working that fryer really knows their stuff. The fried stuff was perfect--piping hot, crispy, but not greasy. My side salad was gorgeous, and as impressive as entree salads I've had. My "Chicken strips" were more like 2 full breast fillets, and were delicious (even the one I didn't get to for 12 hours!). My companion's chicken fried steak was excellent, he said, as were the perfectly cooked green beans. But...the onion rings!!! To die for. Huge. Crispy. Perfection. I'm just glad this cafe is 100 miles from my home--otherwise I'd be back way too often to this Fried Heaven. ”
